CASE REPORT

Abstract

Many components are interrelated in producing perception and its associated conscious awareness. All lobes in the brain talk and are linked in countless and still unknown ways. The two hemispheres also play significant roles in specialization and localization of certain functioning dependant differentiated stimuli, which are also not fully clear of how exactly they integrate in a network of communication. The V1 area is the main component responsible for visual perception, but a deeper investigation of the anatomy of the eye and its associated connections to the brain via the LGN and optic nerves is required to better understand our use of top-down processing, Gestalt principles, and geon comprehension to finally unlock the mystery of how we see.
